Kathy Bourque – Councillor since 2008
Pubnico Head, East Pubnico
Councilor Kathy Bourque lives in Middle East Pubnico with her husband Gilles Bourque. She has two sons Francois and Gabriel. She is also a grandmother to one grandson, Deni.
Kathy lived in Quebec for 15 years. She worked for Desjardins Credit Unions for 12 years while her husband was serving in the military. Kathy and her family moved back to Pubnico in 2001. She has been employed by RBC for 13 years and is now currently employed by Paroisse Notre–Dame de l’Assomption as a bookkeeper. She is fluent in both French and English.
She volunteers her time with the East Side Community Centre, Pubnico Light Monument Society, Immaculate Conception Church, Conseil Acadien de Par-en -Bas, West Pubnico Funeral Home, and any other organizations that she can help out. In the past, she was involved with the 2004 Acadian World Congress and in 2012 Jeux de l’Acadie.
Kathy’s goals as a councillor are to work for the community to make it a better place to live. She is ready to hear, meet and present all suggestions from her constituents to Council and personally contact them with the results.
