The Municipality of Argyle and the Conseil des arts de Par-en-Bas are running a contest for colour photos or digital/traditional art to be placed on large signs on Highway 103 for the exit to Pubnico (exit 31). Digital art is artistic work created on a digital device, like a computer or tablet. Traditional art includes paintings and drawings, which must be scanned and submitted in a digital format. Examples of exit signs at other locations are provided below.

This exit leads to both East and West Pubnico, so submitted work must represent the communities on both sides of Pubnico Harbour.

  • Images must have been created by the person submitting
  • Images must be in a digital format of at least 15 Megapixels
  • Images must be simple with a large amount of blank space (e.g., water, sky).
  • Each applicant can email us a maximum of 3 landscape format (not portrait) images to be considered.

A panel of judges from the Municipality and Conseil des arts de Par-en Bas will select 3 images and the winning photo will then be chosen by the public.

Artists and photographers of the top 3 images will each receive a prize of $100.
